On Exhibit
Exhibits change every ten to twelve weeks and range from jewelry and hollowware in precious metals to sculpture and architectural ironwork. Approximately two-thirds of the Museum’s exhibitions are organized in-house; the others are touring, rented exhibits or borrowed collections from other institutions and/or individuals.

TRIBUTARIES VI: Nathan Dube
June 5 - July 17
Dube's work reinterprets childhood pranks and toys as high-end toys for adults.
The sophisticated appearance of each piece affords the objects a level of authority, convincing the viewer that each piece is the result of years of industrial research and development for actual products. At the same time this authority is subverted by the absurdity of the piece's function.
The name of this exhibition series, which began in 2007, is derived from the Museum’s location along the Mississippi, as well as from the focus of the series - emerging and mid-career artists who are beginning to have a significant impact on the metal arts community.
