Support the Museum
Your annual membership in the Friends of the National Ornamental Metal Museum brings you:
- Quarterly newsletter and First Class mailings concerning special events.
- Invitations to openings (free to members) and other events.
- Free admission each time you visit.
- 10 percent discount on all gift store purchases.
- 10 percent discount when you reserve the grounds for private parties.
- Discount on repairs during annual Repair Days event.
In collaboration with Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, all Metal Museum members receive $1.00 off Brooks admission. Brooks members receive $1.00 off Metal Museum admission.

The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the National Ornamental Metal Museum as a publicly supported non-profit organization under Section 501c3 of the Federal Tax Code. As such your contributions are tax-deductible.

Members to the museum receive numerous benefits including:
- Repair Days: Members may bring items to be repaired to the Museum prior to Repair Days. They also receive a 10% discount on work done.
- Classes: Members receive a tuition discount and first priority on weekend smithy and foundry classes.
- Information about upcoming events, exhibits, classes, and the newsletter mailed to you.
- Invitations to the opening receptions and special events.

- Grounds Rental: Members receive a discount on the grounds rental fee for parties, weddings, and events.
The Museum's permanent collection, displayed periodically, numbers more than 3,000 objects--some as many as 500 years old. You can examine items ranging from contemporary American sculpture to gothic European lockboxes...from precious metal hollowware to custom-made knives...from a rooftop crucifix to an iniquitous copper still.
Changing exhibitions (approximately every 10 weeks) bring to light even more of metal's presence and impact. Past subjects, for example, have included historic measuring devices, works by members of the American Jewelry Design Council, and "Renaissance Hardwear: the Art and Technology of Armor."
