Please note that these guidelines apply to any class in the Library + Learning Space. All metalworking classes in the Metals Studio are suspended until further notice.

HEALTH + SAFETY

SCREENING

  • Temperature screenings for employees, students, and parents/guardians are required.

  • All class attendees will be asked the following questions upon entering the Museum:

    • Have you had a temperature of 100.4 or above in the last 72 hours?

    • Have you or has someone in your household been exposed to someone with COVID-19?

    • Do you have a pending COVID-19 test?

  • If the answer to any of these questions is yes, the individual will be asked to leave the Museum and return at a later time.

  • If you are feeling sick, symptomatic, or have been exposed to the coronavirus, we ask that you do not attend class. If you cancel due to illness, you will be eligible for a refund or a credit for a future workshop of the same value if the Museum is notified prior to the class or within 48 hours after the class has taken place.

MASKS + HANDWASHING

  • All employees, students, and parents/guardians are required to wear face masks and wash and sanitize their hands before and after class.

  • If you do not have a mask, you will be provided a disposable mask upon entrance to the building.

SANITATION PROCEDURES

  • Tables and chairs, as well as any shared tools, will be sanitized before and after each use. In addition, employees will sanitize their hands before prepping materials.

  • All HVAC system has been upgraded to medical grade air filters. There are also medical grade air filtration units placed throughout the buildings which filter the air once every hour.

  • All the supplies and materials needed for the project will be on each table.

YOUTH MAKERS GUILD

  • Each registration allows for one student and one parent or guardian. Each student is required to have one parent or guardian present during the session. No additional persons will be allowed (i.e. siblings, grandparents, friend, etc.)

  • Each student (along with their guardian) will be assigned a table. We ask that you remain at the table and use the tools and supplies provided.

  • When arriving on the grounds, go directly to the Library + Learning Space where you will be checked in and screened. The building will only be open for registered students. Please arrive at the scheduled time so staff may admit you to the building.

  • Classes in the Learning Space have reduced registration to allow for social distance. We have added multiple time slots so that more seats are available with the new occupancy guidelines. Registration is required.
