The Metal Museum offers a roster of short and affordable classes called Make Your Own. Join us on the last Saturday of each month to learn quick and simple introductory techniques that require minimal tools and equipment. The projects are designed for people of all ages.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

Make Your Own: Copper Rose

SATURDAY, JAN. 25, 10AM - 12PM, 2:30 - 4:30PM

Use 36 gauge copper to make a single copper rose. You will cut the forms and use pliers to shape the petals and then assemble them all, using wire as the stem.


$15 per project | Ages 15 and up (Ages 10-15 may attend, but must have an adult registered with them)

Make Your Own: Leap Day Origami Frog

SATURDAY, FEB. 29, 10AM - 12PM, 2:30 - 4:30PM

Create fold formed copper frogs inspired by origami. This class teaches the process of fold forming using origami patterns. Origami paper will be provided to practice on, and thin copper sheet will be used to create the final project.


$15 per project | Ages 15 and up (Ages 10-15 may attend, but must have an adult registered with them)

Make Your Own: Recycled Tin Jewelry

SATURDAY, MAR. 28, 10AM - 12PM, 2:30 - 4:30PM

Learn how to use a circle cutter and dapping punch to turn recycled tin and bottle caps into pieces of jewelry!

$15 per project | Ages 15 and up (Ages 10-15 may attend, but must have an adult registered with them)
