REOPENING PROCEDURES

The Metal Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 5pm. The Foundry is closed and all metalworking demonstrations are suspended until further notice. If you are in an at-risk group, please call the Museum at (901) 774-6380 to schedule a visit before regular opening hours.
HEALTH + SAFETY
SCREENING

All Metal Museum staff are required to check their temperatures before starting the work day.

All staff and guests be asked the following questions upon entering the Museum: Have you had a temperature of 100.4 or above in the last 72 hours? Have you or has someone in your household been exposed to someone with COVID-19? Do you have a pending COVID-19 test?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, the individual will be asked to leave the Museum and return at a later time.

Anyone who is persistently coughing or exhibiting symptoms of illness will be asked to leave the buildings.
MASKS

All Metal Museum staff are required to wear masks while at work.

All guests are required to wear masks when visiting the Museum. If you do not have a mask, you will be provided a disposable mask upon entrance to the building.
HANDWASHING

Frequent handwashing is encouraged. Handwashing signs are posted in all restrooms.
SANITATION PROCEDURES
SOCIAL DISTANCING

All indoor common use areas will be cleaned and disinfected at least three times a day – before opening, at midday, and at closing. Additional cleaning will be performed after high-volume visitation.

Hand sanitation stations are widely available in the Museum buildings for both staff and visitor use.

High-touch items, such as iPads, will be frequently sanitized throughout the day.

Admission tickets may be purchased at the front desk. Credit card transactions are preferred.

Signage is present at the entrance of each building to remind visitors of the appropriate amount of distancing between groups of people. Please be respectful of one another's space.

Each gallery will have designated zones for guest viewing. Where appropriate, queue lines will be roped off to direct the flow of traffic through gallery entrances and exits.
