Repair Days is the Metal Museum's largest annual fundraiser. Bring your metal items to the Museum this October to have them restored to their former glory. All proceeds from repairs help support annual programming such as virtual exhibition tours, educational activity guides, demonstration videos, apprenticeships, and so much more.
During this annual event, our volunteer repair specialists restore metal items to their former glory – everything from rusted garden furniture to broken jewelry to warped heirloom silver – all to raise funds for Museum programs. At Repair Days we’ve seen it all and and repaired it all.
The Metal Museum serves as a gathering place for the metalsmithing community – with Repair Days serving as a family reunion of sorts. Artists and volunteers alike can reconnect with old friends and make new ones through a variety of virtual programming throughout the week.
Every year the Museum receives handcrafted and one-of-a-kind metal works as donations to the Repair Days Art Auction. Adorn yourself or your home by bidding in the 2020 Auction, while knowing that you have contributed vital funds to support the Metal Museum's programs and initiatives in the coming year.
Repair Days may look different this year, but its spirit remains the same. Take part in a variety of online events including networking opportunities, volunteer highlights, a virtual family day, a tour of the exhibitions, and the option to join other volunteers in supporting the Museum by helping to raise funds for Museum programming.
