VISITOR POLICIES

PERSONAL ITEMS

We ask that all visitors leave backpacks and suitcases of any size behind the Admissions desk during their visit.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We encourage personal photography at the Museum. Photos may be taken anywhere on the Museum and Grounds except for the Museum Store. Professional Photography Sessions will need to be booked and paid in advance. To book a Professional Photography session, please contact Portia White at portia@metalmuseum.org.

HEALTH & SAFETY

For safety and health reasons, visitors should wear appropriate attire, including shoes and shirts.

FOOD & DRINK

Food and drink are not permitted in the galleries.

Professional photography is defined as...

  • Photos/videos that will be posted for sale on the internet/portfolio, used in print for art sale, used to advertise goods or services otherwise published.

  • Photograph/video sessions involving a group larger than five people or involving a paid photographer.

  • Wedding, model, and professional or otherwise commercial photography/video.

  • Photographs/videos involving props, changes of clothing or more equipment than a tripod and standard flash.

Thank you for your interest in the Metal Museum. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Metal Museum understands the importance of donations to support the work of schools, community groups and non-profit organizations. Please carefully read our donation guidelines and submission instructions using the link. These guidelines have been developed to create consistency and fairness to organizations that seek support. Regrettably, we cannot honor every donation request.
