WELLNESS SESSIONS IN THE SCULPTURE GARDEN
In mindfulness practices, such as meditation and yoga, focus on one's breath and body is used to keep individuals fully engaged in the present moment. During our seasonal wellness series, participants are invited to rejuvenate their mind and body while surrounded by artwork in the vibrant outdoor setting of our Sculpture Garden.
In these sessions, attendees are invited to enrich their experience with art through the practice of mindfulness. Attendees will be guided in a brief meditation and taught how to engage with art mindfully as they encounter various pieces.
Sessions will take place inside the museum in the case of inclement weather.
Start your day with a gentle yoga class led by a certified instructor. After each session, guests are encouraged to take advantage of their improved cognition, caused by increased blood flow to the brain during exercise, through touring the Museum’s exhibitions.
All skill levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes.
