A. Be Your Own Embosser: Hands-on Activity with Master Metalsmith James Viste

In this activity, participants will work with this year's Master Metalsmith James Viste and his team to create embossed copper pins. The pins will be made from sheet copper embossed into premade steel dies, with a variety of images to choose from. This activity will involve general layout, material preparation, hammering, soldering, cleaning, and finishing. Each participant will leave with a finished wearable pin made from your choice of embossed image. Young children will require some assistance from an adult, but all are encouraged to participate!

Please note: we ask that participants arrive at the Family Fun Day activities tent at the time that they have signed up for, but in order to give every participant a chance to learn from James Viste and his team there may be a brief wait once you arrive at your activity station.
