Donations allow us to fulfill our mission by supporting various programs and projects throughout the year. There are many ways to contribute to the success of the Museum.
Ways to Donate
An annual fund contribution provides support for all Museum programs – from exhibitions, to artist education, to community engagement. Contributions to this fund benefit all of the Museum’s participants – onsite, offsite, and online.
Contributions may be made in honor, memory or celebration of friends and loved ones. Tribute gifts are the perfect way to remember birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special occasions.
This option is a convenient way to make gifts to the Metal Museum all year long. Visit the online giving form and enter the dollar amount and frequency of your gift. Your card will automatically be charged each month. For questions, please call the Development Office at (901) 774-6380.
Many corporations offer employee matching programs, allowing you to double or even triple the impact of your contribution. To complete a matching gift request, contact your corporation’s Human Resources department.
The Metal Museum participates in the AmazonSmile and Kroger Community Rewards Give Back Programs. These are easy ways to support the Museum while you shop, at no additional cost to you. To participate in these programs, login to your retailer’s account and select the Metal Museum as your charity of choice.
The Metal Museum accepts gifts of appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. Gifts of this type may offer advantages over a cash gift and may provide greater tax benefits. Those considering a gift of securities should consult with their own legal, tax, and/or financial advisors. To make a gift of securities, please review and submit this form or contact the Development Office.
Unrestricted gifts to the Museum’s established endowments are always welcome. Also welcomed are restricted gifts that establish named funds to support specific areas and needs of the Museum. Contact the Development Office to learn more about establishing an endowment fund.
Planned gifts often provide effective estate options, continue your commitment to the Metal Museum, and assure long-lasting institutional support. Those considering a planned gift should consult with their own legal, tax, and/or financial advisors. If you have already named us in your will or estate plans, please contact the Development Office so that we may properly acknowledge your generosity.
Individuals and businesses can provide valuable support to the Metal Museum through non-cash contributions such as donated services or products. To be sure your donation can be used effectively, please contact the Development Office before donating gifts in-kind.
The Metal Museum actively collects artwork from emerging and established metal artists, as well as books, folios, and archival materials about metalworking techniques and history. All donations to the collection are reviewed for acceptance by the Curatorial staff and an appointed committee of the Board of Trustees. Those considering a gift of art, books, or archives should consult with their own legal, tax, and/or financial advisors. To donate art, books, or archives, please contact Maureen Smith at maureen@metalmuseum.org.
