PROMOTING METALSMITHS NATIONWIDE

An artist gives a lecture in a gallery to a small group of people.
The Tributaries exhibition series began in 2008 with the goal of supporting emerging and mid-career metal artists with solo exhibitions at the Museum. With over 35 Tributaries exhibitions completed or in the planning process, the Museum has celebrated some of the most talented artists who are shaping the metals field today.

Derived from the Museum’s location along the Mississippi, as well as from the focus of the exhibition series, Tributaries features artists whose work is beginning to have a significant impact on the metal arts community. Visit the links below for more information about previous and upcoming Tributaries artists. Applications for potential Tributaries exhibitions are accepted on a rolling basis.

The Metal Museum strongly believes that supporting diverse artists at all stages of their careers contributes to the health and excellence of the field. We encourage applications from artists who identify as underrepresented in the metals field, particularly with regards to race, ethnicity, gender, ability, religion, and sexual orientation.

Applications accepted on rolling basis.
