About the Artist
Brian Fickett is a studio artist and educator based in Springfield, MO.
He holds a BFA in Metals and Jewelry from Missouri State University (Springfield, MO) and a BA in History. About his work, Brian says, "For me the value of art is not in the object alone, but in the experience of the handler. l use form, decoration, and fabrication to draw the audience in visually while the size and shape provides tactile intimacy. The viewer is encouraged to explore and discover something in their hands and their imagination."
