In this class you will learn how to create vessels out of copper sheet. Starting with a 6 inch disc of copper, you will use the hammer and forming stakes to learn the raising process to create a hollow vessel. You will also learn how to fold-forming process to quickly move the metal to create a vessel. During the weekend you will also learn how to use an acetylene torch to anneal (or soften) the metal to make it malleable.
Please note the vessels will not be food safe.

Class Cancellation Policy
To receive class credit or a refund, you must notify the Museum that you will not be attending the class no less than two weeks prior the class. A 5% cancellation fee will be charged for all refunds. A refund will not be given for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the class. Class credit for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the class may be issued at the discretion of the Museum in special circumstances such as inclement weather that prevents travel to the Museum.
If the class is cancelled by the Metal Museum, the student may either transfer to another class of equal value or receive a full refund.
