Learn how artists add colorful designs to metal with powdered glass. During this session, learn about the nature of enamel, how to prep materials, and the correct operation of a small enameling kiln. You will be able to complete at least one small project and will receive the materials to make objects such as pendants, earrings, or pins.
Tools and supplies will be provided. However, everyone is encouraged to bring their own safety glasses and apron (if you already have these). There will also be a limited amount of extra copper if you wish to bring your own jeweler's saw and project design. Small, simple designs are best since enameling techniques are the focus of the class and copper size will be limited.
