The 2017 Forging on the River Pre-Conference workshop went underway this Wednesday and participants were able to work closely with guest artist Christoph Friedrich to finish a group project inspired by the Museum's proximity to the Mississippi River. Tomorrow, Christoph will be demonstrating some of his own blacksmithing techniques to a group of 30+ blacksmiths who have travelled across the U.S. to learn from the artist. The demos are open to the public to view so come by the Museum and see Christoph work on the forge!
